MakoTM is a robotic-arm assisted technology that helps surgeons provide patients with a personalized orthopedic surgical experience. A 3D model of the patient’s hip or knee will be used to pre-plan and assist surgeons in performing your joint replacement surgery.

When performed using robotic-assisted technology, the failure rate of joint replacement declines, as does the need for revision surgery. This significant improvement in patient outcomes is attributed to the precision with which the MakoTM technology positions the implant. This allows the surgeon to preserve as much of the patient healthy bone tissue as possible, an important factor if revision is ever necessary.
