Steward Medical Group Introduces a New Patient Portal

In July 2022, Steward Medical Group launched a new patient portal to improve our patients’ experience and enhance access to their health information. Through the new portal, patients will have more access to their information in one secure location anytime, anywhere, from a desktop, laptop, phone or tablet device.

If you had a patient portal account with us prior to July 2022 or if you are registering for the first time, you will need to set up a NEW Username and Password to join the new StewardCONNECT. Please click below.

An Important Message for Steward Medical Group Anesthesia, Radiology, and Pathology Patients in Massachusetts

To Our Valued Patients,

Like numerous health care institutions, Steward Medical Group was recently informed of a cyber security incident with Change Healthcare. Like many health care organizations, Steward Medical Group uses outside agencies, including Change Healthcare, to support some of our business processes such as billing and collections. 

As a result of this cybersecurity incident on Feb. 20, Change Healthcare is temporarily unable to process or collect bills for care and services on behalf of SMG Anesthesia, Radiology, and Pathology in Massachusetts.

If you are a patient who is trying to pay an SMG Anesthesia, Radiology, or Pathology bill dated prior to Feb. 21, 2024, you are currently unable to pay your bill via the Change Healthcare portal link listed on your bill, and you are also unable to pay via credit card by calling their billing line at 1-833-353-6887. 

A message on Change Healthcare’s billing line advises patients to mail their payments to the address given on your billing statement. Please be advised, this process is only for bills related to SMG Anesthesia, Radiology, and Pathology services in Massachusetts.

For all other Steward Medical Group bills, patients should continue to use the payment methods you have regularly used to pay your SMG bill, including online through the StewardCONNECT patient portal, by credit card through our SMG Patient Financial Services, or via mail, with your account number included on your check.
